They say it’s not about the destination — it’s about the journey.
This release is all about speed, momentum and pushing things further. As tikpay continues to evolve, each release builds on the last, helping operators move faster and travellers more freely.
So buckle up — this release shifts tikpay into the next gear.
Travellers (and their parents!) can now purchase tickets or trips in advance using tikpay's new e-commerce feature.
The e-commerce website can be embedded into an operator’s website or application, providing a seamless purchase experience for travellers before they board the bus.
Travellers can:

After purchase, travellers can simply tap their Visa / Mastercard or Smart Card on the bus to activate their trip.
This feature opens up new ways for operators to sell tickets, whilst reducing on-vehicle purchase and boarding time.
Travellers often need to take multiple buses to reach their final destination.
Previously, each trip was treated individually. Now, tikpay can combine multiple trips into a single journey, allowing fares to be calculated based on the traveller’s full travel path rather than each individual trip.
For example:
A traveller going from Point A to Point D may need to travel via Point B and Point C. With the new journey logic, tikpay recognises this as one journey instead of three unrelated trips.
Operators can configure journey rules to suit their network, including:

This provides far greater flexibility for distance-based and trip-based fare models.
Drivers can now register traveller concessions directly on the driver console.
The process is simple:

This feature integrates with Busable, enabling operators to support concession travellers to use Tap on / tap off.
tikpay now supports a new product type: Multi-day tickets.
These products allow operators to sell bundles of trips such as 10 day tickets (non-consecutive days).
Multi-day products can be purchased:
They can be loaded onto:

For each day a traveller taps onto the vehicle, one day is deducted from the remaining balance.

tikpay already supported 2-hour and daily caps for zone-based fares.
This release introduces daily caps for distance-based fares.

This allows operators using distance pricing models to ensure travellers never pay more than the configured daily limit, regardless of how many trips they take.
The settlement summary report has been enhanced to support easier reconciliation.
Operators can now switch between two views:
Batch View
Displays settlement payments grouped by settlement date.

Terminal View
Displays settlement payments grouped by Terminal ID (TID) and settlement date.

This allows operators to quickly reconcile payments received against individual devices.
The revenue report has been updated to support additional fare models, including:

These improvements ensure revenue reporting remains accurate as operators adopt more flexible fare models.
Operators can now export data directly from the operator portal for many of the screens and reports, making it easier to:
The following screens / reports can now be exported as a CSV file:

Operators can now see outstanding traveller debt directly within the customer portal.

A new 'Retry Payment' button allows travellers to initiate debt recovery for unpaid balances. If recovered, they will be automatically removed from the decline list and can resume travelling with that payment card or an associated smart card.
The journey continues — see you in the next release .
