Just like the movie, this release delivers a wave of powerful improvements designed to reshape your ticketing universe—in a good way.
Groups can now Tap on and Tap off using the one payment card.
Travellers simply select 'Additional travellers?' on the device, choose how many additional travellers they're paying for, and then tap their card.

When tapping off, the traveller taps off for the whole group.

You’ll now see when the multiple-traveller functionality was used across several screens in the portal.
Transactions including multiple travellers are clearly flagged, helping you understand higher totals at a glance.
Drill into this row to see the customer's account details.

Fares for multiple travellers are now visible on the Trips screen.
We’ve also added distance travelled between stops to make distance-based fare calculations easier to interpret. This is only visible for operators who are using distance-based fare calculations.

View the number of travellers included for each trip directly from the customer’s account.

See how fares are calculated in the back office, including a breakdown of all additional travellers whose fares form part of the aggregated payment.

Need separate devices for Tap On / Tap Off and driver-assisted ticketing? Installing a second device at the back door?
The system now supports multiple devices per vehicle.
The operator portal links all devices to a vehicle so they can share common Telematics data.

We now integrate with the NSW OpenData API for telematics data.
We now record location data throughout the day, allowing you to replay the journey and see what telematics information was coming through at specific times.

The back office now supports situations where a traveller stays on the same bus while it transitions from one scheduled trip to another — ensuring they’re charged correctly without interruption.
Operators can now configure rounding for concession fares, rather than applying a strict 50% discount.
For example, you can round fares to the nearest 10 cents.
Where caps only apply to specific concession types, you can now link a cap directly to a concession category to ensure correct charging for all travellers.
As we introduce tikpay to new operators, we're onboarding limited partners at a time. If you're curious about how tikpay could work for you, or you’d like to know more about supporting our growth, reach out to start the conversation.
